Start with the drawing
Provide a controlled drawing or clear dimensioned file. State the sheet thickness, finished dimensions, hole and slot details, edge condition, cosmetic-side requirement and tolerance expectations. These details are needed to review a 3K carbon fiber sheet configuration and any custom cutting or CNC work.
Confirm the material and finish
Confirm the required sheet construction, surface appearance, finished thickness, inspection points and whether a protective finish is required. Do not assume that a visual weave, nominal thickness or sample part represents the final project configuration.
Plan the machining review
Identify the quantity, revision control, acceptable machining marks, deburring expectations and packaging needs. A trial part or first-article requirement should be stated before quotation when it is part of the project acceptance plan.
Include logistics requirements
Share the delivery destination, requested delivery date and packing requirements. Final availability, lead time, dimensions, tolerances and shipment conditions are confirmed with quotation.
