Where AD-36 fits

AD-36 is a mid-temperature structural adhesive film for metal, resin-based composite and honeycomb sandwich bonding. The handbook identifies civil honeycomb uses including aluminum curtain-wall panels and metro door panels.

Information to confirm before evaluation

  • panel and honeycomb-core materials;
  • target service temperature and environmental exposure;
  • cure equipment, pressure and production cycle;
  • required test method and acceptance criteria;
  • shipment destination and low-temperature handling capability.

Processing and handling

The handbook describes a recommended 120–125°C cure at 0.07–0.3 MPa for 1–2 hours. A 150°C, 15-minute accelerated cycle is also listed with different honeycomb peel performance. Storage and shipment conditions should be confirmed for the selected material and destination.
