Structural Adhesive Selection Guide
For Engineering and procurement teams reviewing structural adhesive options.
Describe both bonding surfaces
Identify the substrates, surface preparation, joint geometry, bond-line requirement and any core or panel construction. The selected adhesive and process must be reviewed against the actual material configuration.
Match the cure route to production
State the available cure temperature, pressure, time, heat-up rate and equipment. For room-temperature paste systems, also include expected ambient conditions and practical working time. For film systems, include handling and storage capability.
Keep test conditions with performance figures
Manufacturer-stated typical values are not universal design allowables, acceptance limits or third-party certification. Compare a figure only where its substrate, surface preparation, cure and test temperature are relevant to the project, then confirm the applicable test method and acceptance criteria.
Send a quote-ready inquiry
Include annual or trial quantity, destination, required documents, target delivery date and any inspection or qualification steps. Availability, packaging, shipment conditions and final technical fit are confirmed with quotation.
